Been a while since I’ve seen one of these. Let alone such a clean one.

Odd. I see at least one or two a day, and rarely the same ones. They’re generally in good shape, and I really wouldn’t mind owning one to be honest.

I see them every day.. well.. not as a Catera, but as an Omega :)
Rare cars in the US?

My father used to own a 2000 Catera. Was a really nice car despite the heater control valve constantly failing. Sadly in the end, it was just a fattened ~3800 lbs Opel Omega B with a 200 hp 54 degree V6 connected to a slush box.
Hit Sport mode and with the adjustable length intake system, she sang alright in the upper ranges.

where about’s you hail from? Here in the northeast they all seem to have succumbed to the elements. mainly sodium. And so long as you have a good mechanic or are handy your self they aren’t a bad ride.

Ah yes, the Cadillac that zigs. Also: Does CTS stand for Catera Touring Sedan?

Western MD, myself. And I’ve seen some rusty, rough looking ones, but they’re generally well-kept.

As long as the timing belt doesn’t “zig”... Wonderful 54° V6 in that beast.

I see them every so often. They’re not bad looking cars, and they’re RWD. What wasn’t to love?

Why though? The Omega was a rather nice car, perhaps the Catera suffered the same fate as many other european cars? Great cars when built in Europe, complete shait when built in the americas?

I see ‘em all the time. I hate ‘em. This=Cimmaron to me. Fuck Cateras.

Yes, they are. Ever driven/worked on one? I have. Not a single redeeming quality.
